Day Eight (Day-y)

Décidément, je suis programmé. Je me suis réveillé vers cinq heures et demie. J’ai essayé de me rendormir sans succès. Je me suis donc levé et utilisant la lampe frontale pour ne pas réveiller Evelyne je continue la rédaction de ce journal de bord.
A huit heures je réveille Evelyne et nous descendons prendre le petit déjeuner.
Le cœur n’y est pas, l’estomac non plus. Je ne prends que deux morceaux de pain avec de la confiote et du fromage blanc, du jus d’orange artificiel et une tasse de thé. Le bon pain d’Ibrahim me manque, ainsi que l’ambiance bon enfant, matinale, autour du feu.
Evelyne a pris une séance de hammam et massage avec gommage. Cela lui prendra toute la matinée. Comme nous devons libérer la chambre pour midi, je resterai dedans pour terminer les bagages et continuer la rédaction de ces notes. La matinée m’a permis de bien avancer.
Evelyne est rentrée vers midi moins le quart. Nous avons quitté la chambre à midi pile.
Après avoir attendu Françoise qui avait son massage à onze heure trente, nous sommes allés manger en face de l’hôtel.
Comme il nous reste encore un peu de temps avant qu’on vienne nous chercher, nous sommes descendus à la piscine de l’hôtel pour nous allonger sur les transats. Il fait très beau, mais personne se baigne. L’eau n’est probablement pas très chaude.

Nous quittons finalement la Tunisie vers huit heures moins le quart et arrivons à Paris vers onze heures du soir.
Après le ramassage des bagages, nous prenons congé de nos camarades d’aventures. Souvent les connaissances et/ou les liens noués pendant un période si courte, se limitent à quelque échanges de lettres, courriels et puis la distance s’installe, chacun revenant à ses occupations, jusqu’à l’oubli. C’est dommage car parfois ce serait chouette de se revoir. On verra bien.
L’hôtel où j’ai réservé la chambre n’est pas loin mais d’après la dame au guichet d’informations ce n’est pas faisable à pied. Si elle savait ….
Elle nous propose de traverser la gare et de prendre la navette, la dernière qui devrait passer dans environ vingt minutes. Evelyne et moi sommes sur la même fréquence, à peine sortis sur le trottoir nous hélons un taxi. Pas de bol, je crois que c’est le premier jour du chauffeur. Il ne sait pas trop bien comment faire. Heureusement il a un GPS. Nous arrivons à l’hôtel « Etaphôtel ». Il y a file à la réception. Une demi heure plus tard nous sommes dans notre chambre.

L’hôtel fonctionne un peu comme un Formule 1, avec un plus. Nous nous couchons tout de suite, et décidons de nous lever vers huit heures.
